Planteray 3 STARS Rum 41.2% vol. 0.7 l is a classic white rum and a tribute to the historic rum styles of the Caribbean. This carefully composed rum blend unites three distinctive terroirs - Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad - and combines their typical character traits to create a balanced overall profile. While Barbados provides fullness and balance, Trinidad brings elegance and lightness, while Jamaica contributes structure and aromatic intensity. Planteray Rum is based on molasses as a raw material and is composed from distillates from renowned distilleries such as the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, the Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica and Trinidad Distillers Ltd.


Different fermentation and distillation methods shape the character of this versatile Caribbean rum: in Barbados and Trinidad, fermentation takes around 72 hours, while in Jamaica it takes up to two weeks, providing additional aromatic depth. Distillation takes place in a combination of twin column still and pot still in Barbados, pot still (John Dore) in Jamaica and column still in Trinidad. With a volatile compound content of around 285 g/hL AA and a moderate dosage of around 8 g/L, the result is a harmonious and versatile white rum that is particularly suitable for cocktails.
