The whisky was distilled in 2019 from the 2018 harvest and subsequently matured for 5 years.


Maturation takes place exclusively in carefully selected first-fill bourbon casks, complementing the powerful peated character with delicate sweet and fruity nuances. Despite its extremely high phenolic content, the Octomore 16.1 is remarkably balanced and complex. Maritime notes, fruity sweetness, spices and subtle minerality blend to create an extraordinary overall profile. Tasting Note

Colour: Rich gold.

Nose: Sea breeze, orchard fruits, delicate peat smoke, dried heather, chamomile, vanilla, toasted almonds, cedarwood, smoked paprika and hints of iodine.

Palate: Powerful yet elegant, with peaty smoke, salted caramel, honeydew melon, apricots, malty sweetness, cinnamon, star anise, toffee, chocolate, coconut and mineral undertones.

Finish: Very long-lasting with intense peaty smoke, black pepper, toffee, sea salt and maritime spice.
