The Salzl Don Bepo Weißweincuvée 2024 12.5% Vol. 0.75 l is a radiantly fresh cuvée from the Salzl Seewinkelhof winery in Burgenland, which is renowned for its elegant, terroir-driven wines. Named after the winemaker's grandfather "Don Bepo", this wine epitomises the philosophy of the estate: authentic grape varieties, meticulous craftsmanship and unadulterated enjoyment.


The cuvée combines the grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling, Bouvier and Gelber Muskateller. This combination ensures aromatic diversity, vibrancy and a wonderfully fresh flavour profile. The wine is matured at a controlled temperature in steel tanks and then aged for three months on the fine lees, which gives the wine additional creaminess and balance. Grown on a gravelly brown earth soil, the 2024 vintage has a mineral character that is perfectly emphasised by the crisp acidity and fruit fullness. With a drinking maturity of 2025 to 2028, it offers both short-term drinking pleasure and development potential.

Tasting Note

The Salzl Don Bepo 2024 has a bright greenish-yellow colour in the glass. On the nose, it unfolds a wonderfully fruity bouquet of green apple, gooseberries, passion fruit and grapefruit, complemented by fine elderflower notes and hints reminiscent of strawberry and raspberry sorbet. It is fresh on the palate, with crisp acidity, lively minerality and an animating flavour. Exotic fruit flavours meet delicate fruit sweetness and fine herbal spice, rounded off by a firm core and a flattering bouquet.

The Don Bepo white wine cuvée is a versatile accompaniment to food. It is an excellent accompaniment to aperitifs, fresh asparagus, vegetable dishes, fish and white meat. It is particularly appealing with light starters, summery salads or Asian-inspired dishes with a fine flavour. Its freshness and flavour make it a wine that is a pleasure to drink all year round and always whets the appetite for the next glass. Served at 10-12 °C, it reveals its full diversity.
