Nikka From the Barrel combines over 100 different malt and grain whiskies, with the blend primarily featuring malt whiskies from Nikka’s two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, as well as the characteristic Coffey grain whiskies. Following careful blending, the whisky is returned to casks for several months. This process, known as ‘marriage’ or ‘double maturation’, allows the individual components to blend harmoniously and develop additional depth and complexity. The whisky is bottled at a robust 51.4% ABV, almost at cask strength, thereby preserving its intense aromas and full-bodied character. The result is an exceptionally harmonious blended whisky with impressive expressiveness and remarkable elegance.
