The Glenlivet Caskmakers Travel Exclusive ex-Spanish Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky 40% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a special bottling from the traditional Speyside distillery The Glenlivet, created exclusively for the travel-retail market. This edition emphasises the art of cask making and was created in close collaboration between the cask masters of Speyside and experienced coopers from Jerez, Spain.


For the Caskmakers, the best former Spanish sherry casks and freshly charred European oak casks were dismantled cask by cask and painstakingly reassembled. Some of the whisky matured in these reconstructed casks, creating a unique combination of classic sherry character, spicy oak and subtle smoke. This process gives the whisky an impressive depth and emphasises Glenlivet's innovative strength. Bottled at 40% vol., it remains harmonious, round and at the same time full of character. Packaged in an elegant gift box (GB), it is an exquisite collector's item for lovers of special Glenlivet bottlings.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with copper reflections.

Nose: Ripe pears and honey, complemented by cinnamon, Ingwerer and nutmeg.

Flavour: Sweet plums and dried fruit, balanced with roasted pineapple, oak spices and a hint of campfire smoke.

Finish: Sweet, spicy and rich with lingering warmth.

The Glenlivet Caskmakers is perfect for drinking neat to fully appreciate the cask art and the interplay of flavours. A few drops of water open up the fruity and spicy nuances even more. It is an excellent culinary accompaniment to dried fruit, nuts and desserts with honey or caramel, as well as to grilled meat or strong hard cheese.
