The Macallan CLASSIC CUT Limited Edition 2025 52.4% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is the ninth release in the Macallan Distillery's renowned Classic Cut series and represents the relentless pursuit of perfection and innovation. Each edition of this annual series highlights a particular flavour and is bottled in limited quantities for collectors and connoisseurs.


The 2025 edition matured in an unusual combination of European and American oak barrels flavoured with sherry and in ex-bourbon barrels. This cask management ensures a fascinating combination of fruity freshness, sweet creaminess and spicy depth. This single malt is bottled at cask strength at 52.4% vol., which allows it to retain its full aromatic expressiveness. With a small drop of water, it unfolds a multi-sensory diversity that reveals new levels of character and makes this bottling particularly appealing.


As the ninth addition to the Classic Cut range, the 2025 Edition has a profile characterised by notes of grapefruit, panna cotta and apple - fresh, multi-layered and yet typical of The Macallan's signature. Presented in the elegant gift box (GB), it is not only an experience for the palate, but also a highlight for any collection.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with light amber nuances.

Nose: Orange oil, barley sugar, milk chocolate, caramel wafer, creamy vanilla panna cotta and freshly baked apple turnover.

Taste: Powdered sugar sweetness with grapefruit and mandarin, plus lemon zest meringue and caramelised almonds.

Finish: Fruity and fresh with grapefruit, melon and a warming oak spice.

The Macallan Classic Cut 2025 should preferably be enjoyed neat to experience the cask strength and its complex flavours. With a few drops of water, additional layers open up, bringing out its fruity elegance even more.
