The Dos Maderas PX 5+5 Years Old Triple Aged Spirit Drink is an exceptional rum-based spirit that combines Caribbean rum tradition with Spanish cask maturation. Production begins with high-quality distillates from Barbados and Guyana, which are first aged for 5 years in the Caribbean under tropical conditions. They are then transported to Jerez in Spain, where the second phase of ageing begins: first, the spirit is stored for a further 3 years in casks that previously held 20-year-old Palo Cortado sherry, before receiving its final finish over 2 years in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. At 40% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle, the result is a complex triple-aged rum blend with exceptional depth.


Through this special 5+5-year ageing process, Dos Maderas PX 5+5 develops its unmistakable character, with intense sherry influences and harmonious sweetness. The combination of the Caribbean climate and traditional Spanish cask ageing lends this premium rum-based spirit a multi-layered flavour profile of dark fruits, spices and refined woody notes. In particular, the additional ageing in Pedro Ximénez casks ensures a full-bodied structure and makes this bottling a popular choice amongst connoisseurs of special cask-aged spirits.

Colour: Dark amber with mahogany-coloured highlights.

Nose: Intense aromas of figs, raisins and ripe fruit, accompanied by sweet sherry notes, spices and subtle oak.
