The James Eadie Aberfeldy 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited bottling from the renowned series The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland. Only 644 bottles of this exceptional whisky were bottled in 2025 - after 12 years of maturation in two first fill bourbon hogsheads, which were filled in 2013. This limited edition exemplifies James Eadie's philosophy of preserving and documenting Scottish distilling culture.


The independent bottler James Eadie is known for its hand-picked single malts and small batch creations, which are always bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtration and in natural colour. The series "The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland" is based on the historical work of James Eadie himself, who, together with his team, visited, documented and photographed a total of 124 distilleries between 1922 and 1929. This impressive collection was summarised in a book by his great-great-grandson Rupert Patrick, which today serves as the basis for the selection and design of the individual whiskies. Each label therefore features an illustration of a historical photograph of the respective distillery - in the case of Aberfeldy 12 Years Old, a photograph from the distillery's early years adorns the bottle.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with gentle amber nuances.

Nose: Fresh and harmonious with aromas of honey, vanilla, citrus and ripe pears.

Flavour: Creamy and round with notes of malt, vanilla, sweet wood and fine fruitiness.

Finish: Langs, soft and balanced with sweet and spicy accents.

The James Eadie Aberfeldy 12 Years Old shows all its complexity neat at room temperature or with a splash of water to open up the fruity notes. In culinary terms, it harmonises perfectly with mild hard cheese, smoked salmon or white meat dishes such as chicken in a honey and mustard sauce. It also develops an elegant balance between sweetness and flavour with desserts with vanilla or caramel, such as crème brûlée or apple pie.
