The Polz Sauvignon Blanc Südsteiermark Ehrenhausen DAC 2022 is an impressive white wine from southern Styria that epitomises the pure elegance and authenticity of this unique wine region. For generations, the renowned Polz winery from Ehrenhausen has stood for precise craftsmanship, uncompromising quality and terroir-emphasised wines with a clear style. The 100% Sauvignon Blanc grape variety comes from selected plots with coral limestone soils, which give the wine its distinctive minerality and structure. These special geological conditions ensure a pronounced finesse and a fascinating interplay of freshness and depth.


The wine is matured in used large wooden barrels, allowing the complex flavours to develop optimally without overpowering the typical fruit. The result is a Südsteiermark Sauvignon Blanc with character, balance and Langs. With a drinking maturity until at least 2027, screw cap and ideal drinking temperature of 8-10 °C, this vintage offers maximum enjoyment - both young and with a little maturity. The elegant magnum bottle (1.5 litres) in a wooden box also makes it an exclusive gift for special occasions. Tasting Note

In the glass, the Polz Sauvignon Blanc Ehrenhausen DAC 2022 is light yellow in colour with delicate greenish reflections. The bouquet unfolds aromas of pink grapefruit and lime zest, accompanied by fresh passion fruit and floral hints of white flowers that awaken anticipation for the first sip. On the palate, the wine is both juicy and full-bodied, with a fantastically elegant and lively acidity structure. A fine, subtle melt rounds off the flavour experience harmoniously. The long-lasting finish is characterised by notes of papaya and leaves a delicate, mineral impression.
