The Knöbl Blauer Zweigelt 2023 13.5% vol. 0.75 l is a classic, fruity red wine from Austria that impresses with its typical flavour and harmonious structure. The Zweigelt grape variety - also known as Blauer Zweigelt, Rotburger or Zweigeltrebe - is the country's most important red wine variety and was originally created from a cross between Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. It produces wines that are characterised by their juicy fruit, soft tannins and supple body.

Careful harvesting and gentle vinification result in a red wine full of character that combines both fruit fullness and fine flavour. Tasting Note

In the glass, the Knöbl Blauer Zweigelt 2023 presents itself in a strong ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose reveals fragrant aromas of ripe cherries and juicy plums, accompanied by a subtle spiciness and a hint of violets. On the palate, the wine is fruity, round and harmonious, with a grapey, soft texture and fine tannins. The cherry and plum flavours return in the long, elegant finish and give the wine its typical, charming Zweigelt character.

The Knöbl Blauer Zweigelt 2023 is a versatile accompaniment to grilled meat, pasta with tomato sauces, poultry, roast pork or mild cheese. It is also an excellent accompaniment to Austrian home cooking such as beef goulash or fried chicken. At a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C, it develops its full fruitiness and elegant structure. It can be drunk up to 2030, although the wine is also a delight when young with its juicy freshness. A typical, harmonious Zweigelt that represents Austrian red wine culture in its most beautiful form - fruity, accessible and with a charming drinking flow.
