The Isle of Skye 8 Years Old Blended Scotch Whisky 40% Vol. 1 l is a traditional blended Scotch whisky full of character that combines the diverse flavours of Scotland. It was created by the independent bottler Ian Macleod Distillers, a family business with decades of experience and a great reputation in the world of Scotch whisky.


This blend is based on carefully selected peated whiskies from the Scottish islands, combined with finer malts from Speyside and the Highlands. This skilful composition creates a whisky that harmoniously combines the maritime smokiness of the islands with the sweet elegance and floral finesse of the mainland. After distillation, the Isle of Skye 8 Years Old matures in a balanced combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, which gives it its pleasant depth and multi-layered flavours.


With an alcohol content of 40% vol., this whisky is balanced, smooth and distinctive at the same time. Its slightly peaty note gives it character, while the sweet and spicy elements ensure a harmonious balance - a true example of Scottish craftsmanship and tradition.

Tasting Note

Colour: Straw yellow.

Nose: Intense notes of peat smoke, citrus fruits, malt and subtle floral hints.

Flavour: Smoky-sweet with aromas of peat, fruit cake, spices and hay.

Finish: Medium length, nutty, spicy and lingering with a slightly smoky aftertaste.
