The Tement Süd Styrian Verjus Rosso 0.74 litre is a unique, alcohol-free natural product from the renowned region of Southern Styria, which is produced using traditional methods. The term verjus (French for "green juice") refers to the juice of unripe grapes, which is characterised by its fine acidity and natural freshness. The Rosso version is made exclusively from carefully selected red grape varieties, which not only give the verjus its delicate ruby red colour, but also a subtle, fruity aroma.


The grapes come from the Tement family's own organically farmed vineyards, which thrive on the calcareous and loamy coralline limestone soils of southern Styria. This special soil structure gives the product a fine minerality and aromatic depth. After the early, gentle harvest, the grapes are cold-pressed and bottled in their natural state - without any alcohol, added sugar or preservatives. Tement Verjus Rosso is therefore a purely natural product that harmoniously combines freshness, fruit and regionality.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Verjus has a bright ruby red colour with violet reflections. On the nose, it has a fine aroma of redcurrants, cranberries and light floral notes. On the palate, it is lively, animating and elegant with juicy fruit acidity reminiscent of pomegranate and sour cherry. The flavour is clear, refreshing and pleasantly dry with a fine, fruity finish.

Tement Verjus Rosso is an excellent alcohol-free alternative to vinegar or lemon juice in the kitchen and can be used to refine dressings, marinades or sauces. It also makes a great base for refreshing drinks and mocktails or as an elegant aperitif with mineral water on ice. Served at 6-8 °C, its natural freshness and harmonious acidity unfold particularly well. Thanks to its balanced structure, it goes wonderfully with summer salads, grilled vegetables, fish or white meat.
