This limited edition combines the typical sweet Highland character with a fascinating depth created by the special maturation in heavily burnt crocodile casks.

These casks - named after their deeply ripped, reptile-like surface - are burnt out to an unusually high degree, breaking up the wood structure and releasing caramelised wood sugars, spicy smoky notes and a fine peat illusion. Without actually using peated malt, Douglas Laing succeeds here in creating a smoky soul solely through the influence of the casks - a masterpiece of craftsmanship that reinterprets the concept of the Highland single malt in an extraordinary way.

With a cask strength of 54.2% vol. and no colouring or chill-filtration, this whisky remains true to the Douglas Laing principle of bottling whiskies as naturally as possible.
