The Leitner Souvignier Gris & Muscaris PIWI Duett Steiermark 2024 with 13% vol. in a 0.75-litre bottle is a modern, future-oriented Styrian white wine composed of two PIWI grape varieties: 75% Souvignier Gris and 25% Muscaris. These fungus-resistant varieties enable particularly sustainable cultivation and at the same time produce an extremely aromatic, finesse-rich flavour profile. The wine comes from selected Styrian vineyards, whose cool climate and mineral soils give the cuvée its clear structure, freshness and varietal typicity.


The 2024 vintage is particularly balanced, aromatic and precise. The PIWI duet combines the elegant fullness and structure of Souvignier Gris with the exotic, fruity flavour of Muscaris. The result is an animating, modern white wine with plenty of freshness, fine flavour and a harmonious, straightforward structure. The wine is matured gently to preserve the clear, radiant fruit and ensure a lively, elegant style. A wine that combines sustainability, regionality and character in a long-lasting interplay of flavours.

Tasting Note

The PIWI Duett 2024 is light yellow in colour with a slightly golden shimmer in the glass. The nose reveals fresh aromas of citrus, white peach, subtle hints of nutmeg and floral nuances. On the palate, the wine is clear, fruity and harmonious, characterised by an animating acidity, delicate spiciness and an elegant, slightly creamy texture. The combination of both varieties produces a balanced interplay of flavours, with a fresh, structured and long-lasting finish.

Leitner Souvignier Gris & Muscaris PIWI Duett 2024 is an excellent accompaniment to poultry dishes, fresh fish, summer dishes, Mediterranean herb dishes or light pasta dishes. It also harmonises well with vegetarian dishes, pumpkin variations, Asian dishes with a mild spiciness or goat's cheese. Served at 8-10 °C, this PIWI white wine develops its full flavour and offers elegant, modern drinking pleasure with a lasting signature.
