The Landauer Gisperg Black Betty Red 2022, with an alcohol content of 12.5% vol. in a 0.75-litre bottle, is an organically certified red wine blend from Tattendorf, produced from an exceptional combination of grape varieties: Rathay, Roesler and St. Laurent. These three Austrian varieties bring power, structure, fruit and elegance together in a harmonious whole. The vines grow on stony, limestone-rich gravel soils typical of the region, which lend the wines tension, minerality and clean lines.


The winemaking process is carried out with the utmost care: low yields to ensure quality, selective hand-harvesting, meticulous sorting of the grapes and a delicate balance of ageing in both large and small wooden barrels for 8–12 months. The result is a red wine that harmoniously combines both the depth and opulence of the Roesler and Rathay varieties and the finesse and elegance of St. Laurent. The Black Betty Red is dense, fruit-driven and clearly structured; a modern, powerful red wine with a charming character and long-lasting expressiveness, which can be interpreted in both a classic and a playful manner.

Tasting Note

Deep dark in the glass with violet highlights. On the nose, dense berry fruit with hints of blackberries and black cherries. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fruit-laden and opulent, with a soft texture and harmoniously integrated tannins. The finish is dense, round and long-lasting, underpinned by dark fruit and subtle spice.

The Black Betty Red 2022 pairs superbly with grilled meat, Burgen, pasta dishes with rich sauces, spicy vegetarian dishes, dark poultry, as well as with antipasti and mature cheeses. It is also perfect for social evenings, after-work get-togethers, parties or simply as an easy-drinking red wine to unwind with. Served at 17 °C, it reveals its full aroma and complements a wide range of occasions with its full-bodied, fruit-driven and long-lasting structure.
