The Cà dei Frati Ronchedone Vino Rosso 2022 is a powerful yet elegant Italian quality red wine that impressively demonstrates the red wine expertise of the renowned Cà dei Frati estate. Although the winery is primarily known for its Lugana wines, the Ronchedone has shown for years how confidently Cà dei Frati also interprets structured, international red wines. The cuvée combines Marzemino, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon and combines Italian tradition with modern stylistics.

The grapes come from carefully selected vineyards in the southern Lake Garda region, where the mild climate and well-aerated soils allow for optimal ripening. The Ronchedone is aged dry and matures for several months in wooden barrels, creating depth, flavour and structure without masking the fruit. With an alcohol content of 14%, the 2022 vintage is concentrated, balanced and harmonious. The bottling in a 0.375-litre bottle is ideal for high-quality enjoyment as a couple or as an accompaniment to a sophisticated meal.

Tasting Note

A dense ruby-garnet colour in the glass. Aromas of dark cherries, wild berries and plums unfold on the nose, accompanied by fine spicy notes and a hint of cocoa. Powerful and juicy on the palate with ripe fruit, well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long-lasting, spicy and elegant.

The Cà dei Frati Ronchedone Vino Rosso 2022 is an excellent accompaniment to beef, lamb, game dishes or pasta with strong sauces. This dry red wine from Italy also reveals its depth and structure with mature hard cheeses. At a serving temperature of around 16 to 18 °C, it shows its full class and is a versatile, sophisticated accompaniment to food.
