Since its foundation in 1888, Brugal has been synonymous with high-quality rums characterised by a particularly dry and balanced style, which sets it apart from many sweeter Caribbean bottlings. The Extra Viejo is crafted by the experienced Maestros Roneros from carefully selected, longer-aged rum reserves and embodies the distillery’s characteristic signature. The classic 0.7-litre bottle is ideal both for enjoying neat and as a premium base for sophisticated rum cocktails.


For the Brugal Extra Viejo, selected older rum distillates are blended, having matured in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon. This cask maturation gives the rum its balanced combination of subtle woody notes, vanilla and a spicy depth. At 38% ABV, this Ron Dominicano is pleasantly smooth, yet full of character and complexity. Its harmonious balance of fruit, spices and subtle toasted notes makes it a versatile choice, whether enjoyed neat or in classic long drinks and cocktails.
