The Laphroaig Triple Wood is an intense, multi-layered Islay single malt whisky with an exceptional flavour profile thanks to its triple cask maturation. Produced in the traditional Laphroaig distillery, which is located on the Scottish island of Islay and is known for its heavily peated whiskies, this whisky combines smoky strength with elegant wood and sherry notes. The distillery is now part of the Japanese-American Beam Suntory group and, with its listed buildings, is one of Scotland's best-known whisky producers.

The special thing about Laphroaig Triple Wood is its maturation in three different types of cask: it begins its development in American oak casks, then moves to quarter casks, which ensure a more intensive interaction with the wood due to their smaller cask size, and finally receives its finish in ex-sherry casks, which give it a fine fruitiness and additional depth. This combination results in a whisky that perfectly balances the typical Laphroaig peat smoke with sweet and spicy notes.

In addition, the whisky has not been chill-filtered so that its flavours and texture are fully preserved. Colour: Deep gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Intense peat smoke, earthy ash, medicinal notes, accompanied by sweet vanilla, dark dried fruit and a hint of oak spice.

Flavour: Full-bodied, powerful, spicy peat smoke, notes of leather, caramel, honey, sherry fruit, dark chocolate and a subtle peppery note.

Finish: Langs, warming, smoky, slightly sweet with lingering oak and spice notes.
