Lajita Mezcal Reposado with Agave Worm 40% Vol. 0.7 l - an artisan mezcal that impresses with its gentle maturation and authentic flavour. Produced from 100% agave espadín, this mezcal epitomises the deep tradition of Mexican distilling. A special feature is the agave worm (gusano) in the bottle, which is valued as a symbol of quality and an additional flavour dimension.

After distillation, Lajita Mezcal Reposado matures for several months in American oak barrels, which gives it a mild, rounded structure. The slow roasting of the agave hearts in earth pits creates a fine smokiness that blends perfectly with the sweet and woody notes of the barrel ageing.

Finish: Long-lasting, gently smoky, with a pleasant oak note and subtle spice.

Lajita Mezcal Reposado is traditionally enjoyed neat, served slightly chilled or at room temperature to develop its complexity. For a classic mezcal experience, it can be served with orange slices and Sal de Gusano (Werder salt).

It also adds a fascinating depth to cocktails - be it in a Smoky Margarita, a Mezcal Negroni or an Oaxacan Old Fashioned. In culinary terms, it is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, spicy tacos, dark chocolate or mature cheese, which perfectly complement its sweet and smoky flavours.
