The Highland Park 10 Years Old Viking Scars is a bottling full of character from the traditional Highland Park Distillery, which has been producing on the Orkney Islands in the far north of Scotland since 1798. The nickname "Viking Scars" emphasises the historical connection between the Orkneys and Nordic culture, which gives the distillery's whiskies a special identity.


For this bottling, the single malt matured for at least 10 years in a combination of European oak sherry casks and American oak casks that were previously filled with sherry. The cask management ensures a balance of sweetness, fruitiness, spice and the light smokiness typical of Highland Park. Bottled at 40% vol., this whisky is presented without colouring, preserving its natural colour and purity. Tasting Note

Nose: Sweet honey, vanilla, ripe fruit, sherry notes and a hint of smoke.
