Distillation is carried out as a blend of two distillates using both pot still and column still methods. The double barrel maturation makes this rum particularly unique: it is first matured in Jati oak barrels (teak), which give it a spicy, exotic depth. It is then refined in ex-bourbon barrels, which provide soft vanilla and caramel flavours. This combination of traditional and modern techniques gives the Naga Java Reserve an exceptional balance between sweet, spicy and fruity nuances.
