Don Papa Baroko is a premium rum that has its roots on the Philippine island of Negros in the Philippine archipelago. This rum pays tribute to a lesser-known hero of the Philippine Revolution, who once worked as a foreman on a sugar cane plantation and later joined the fight for his country’s independence. His leading role in driving the invaders out of the Philippines makes him an important historical figure.

The production of Don Papa Baroko begins with sugar cane grown on the fertile volcanic soils of Negros. After distillation, the rum is aged in oak casks, allowing it to develop its characteristic range of flavours.

Only the finest casks are selected for this limited edition to bring out the fruity – and, in particular, vanilla – flavours to their fullest potential. A hint of local cane sugar is added to accentuate these flavours and create a unique taste experience.

Don Papa Baroko is not only an exquisite rum, but also a symbol of the history and heroism of the Philippine Revolution.

Tasting Note

Nose: Sweet, exotic aromas.

Palate: Sweet, with exotic notes, hints of vanilla, fruit cake and citrus fruits.
