Don Papa Baroko pays tribute to Don Papa, one of the lesser-known heroes of the Philippine Revolution, who started out as a foreman on a sugar cane plantation before joining the fight for his country’s independence. As the leader of his compatriots, he led them against the invaders and played a decisive role in the liberation of his beloved country.

This exceptional rum comes from the island of Negros in the Philippine archipelago, a region renowned for its particularly fertile volcanic soils. The sugarcane used is carefully refined and the resulting rum is aged in oak casks. Only the finest and most prized casks are selected for Baroko, to bring out the characteristic fruity and vanilla notes to their fullest.

This limited edition is rounded off with the addition of local cane sugar, which further emphasises the intense flavours. The result is an extraordinary molasses rum creation that embodies both the tradition and the incomparable flavour of Filipino culture – a true tribute to the heroes of the revolution.
