Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Intense aromas of fresh citrus fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of dried fruit. The Mizunara oak brings fine notes of coconut and wood.

Taste: Full-bodied and complex with a harmonious blend of caramel, spiced fruit and the delicate spice of Mizunara oak, which together offer a pleasant and rounded flavour experience.

Finish: Langs and warm, with a fine oak spice and a slight sweetness that perfectly round off the smooth but powerful finish.

The Shinobu Pure Malt is ideal for pure enjoyment, ideally very chilled or on ice to allow the flavours to unfold. This whisky also brings out its complex flavours perfectly as a base for elegant whisky cocktails such as Whisky Sour or Old Fashioned. It goes particularly well with mature cheese, smoked salmon or fruity desserts such as tarte tatin or grilled apples, allowing the fruity and woody notes to come into their own.
