Made from 100% tobalá agave, which is considered one of the finest and rarest agave varieties for mezcal, this exclusive mezcal combines intense flavour with exceptional craftsmanship. The agaves grow exclusively at high altitudes and require at least 12 years to reach full maturity before they are processed in a complex process.

Behind Lokita is the maestro mezcalero Arturo Mártinez, who produces this mezcal using traditional methods. The agave hearts are slowly roasted in earth pits to develop the characteristic smoky flavour before being crushed by hand and fermented in natural fermentation vats. Distillation takes place in small copper stills, which preserves the fine, complex flavours.

Lokita 12 Años Mezcal is an authentic mezcal that is best enjoyed neat to experience its complex flavour. It can be served slightly chilled or at room temperature. For a traditional flavour, we recommend accompanying it with orange slices and sal de gusano (worm salt). In cocktails, it adds a fascinating depth to drinks such as a Mezcal Negroni, Smoky Margarita or Oaxacan Old Fashioned. In culinary terms, it harmonises perfectly with grilled meat, spicy dishes or dark chocolate, which complement its smoky and sweet notes perfectly.
