The Kracher winery is located in the "Seewinkel" region of Burgenland in Austria. Thanks to the warm and humid climate, the evaporation from the lake and the evening mist, the conditions here are ideal for Botrytis cinerea, the basis for outstanding sweet wines such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen. Gerhard Kracher continues to run the winery with the same dedication. In addition to the famous Trockenbeerenauslese wines, the winery also offers Beerenauslese, Auslese, ice wine and small quantities of dry white and red wine and is considered one of the best-known wineries in Austria.

Kracher Trockenbeerenauslese Traminer Nouvelle Vague, made from 100% Traminer grapes, matures in new barriques. This maturation gives the wine its complex flavours and characteristic depth. After the ageing phase, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.

Tasting Note

Medium golden yellow in the glass. Fruity nose of orange zest, grapefruit, hints of roses. Mineral, fruity on the palate with orange, grapefruit, tropical fruit, meadow herbs and roses. Langs on the finish, accompanied by a wonderful acidity.

Residual sugar: 158.4 g/l

Drinking temperature: 10-12 °C

Harmonises perfectly with goose liver and tarte tatin.
