The Glenmorangie Distillery, founded in 1843 in the Scottish Highlands near Tain, is famous for its exquisite single malt Scotch whiskies. These are distilled in Scotland’s tallest stills, resulting in a particularly refined and smooth spirit. Glenmorangie is renowned for its innovative cask-finishing technique, which involves maturing whiskies in various types of casks, such as port, sherry and wine casks, giving them a unique depth of flavour.

Glenmorangie is also strongly committed to sustainability, with initiatives to reduce CO₂ emissions and reuse water, making the distillery a pioneer not only in the whisky industry but also in global spirits production. Glenmorangie Grand Vintage is an outstanding expression from the Bond House No. 1 collection, named after Glenmorangie’s largest former warehouse. Built in the 19th century, this warehouse served as a maturation site for the finest single malts until 1990. Due to rising demand and the lack of scope for expanding the building, Warehouse No. 1 was converted into an impressive distillery building, also known as the ‘Glenmorangie Highland Cathedral’.

Glenmorangie Grand Vintage, distilled in 1997, is an extremely rare single malt that has been matured for 24 years in ex-bourbon and ex-Bordeaux wine casks. This exclusive maturation method lends it exceptional depth and complexity.

The Grand Vintage is the seventh release in the Bond House No. 1 collection and embodies the distillery’s exquisite craftsmanship and history.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Lush, red fruits, floral notes, chilli, hints of ginger.

Palate: Spicy, sweetish, fruity notes of mandarins, ripe pears, pineapple, ginger, chilli and marzipan.

Finish: Long-lasting, sweet and spicy.
