Ron Cristóbal Pinta is a rum-based spirit from the Dominican Republic that is matured in ex-bourbon barrels under tropical conditions. Named after the Pinta, the fastest ship in the fleet of explorer Christopher Columbus, this spiced rum commemorates the historic crossing of the Atlantic in 1492. It was on the Pinta that sailor Rodrigo de Triana was the first to set eyes on the "New World" on 12 October 1492 - a term used to describe the previously unknown land masses of America.
