Mortlach Distillery, founded in 1823, is one of the oldest and most renowned distilleries in Scotland's Speyside region. Known as "The Beast of Dufftown", Mortlach has made a name for itself with its uniquely complex and powerful single malts. The distillery uses an unusual 2.81-fold distillation process, which gives the whiskies their characteristic depth and complexity.

The Special Releases 2023, under the motto "Spirited Xchange", proudly present the latest bottlings in this special series. Inspired by cultural influences from different countries, unique partnerships create new whiskies that are appreciated worldwide.

Mortlach The Katana's Edge Special Release 2023 stands out for its limited edition and special maturation. The whisky is matured in Japanese Kanosuke whisky and Pinot Noir casks, which gives it a unique and varied flavour. This bottling celebrates the art of distillation and the interplay of different cultures, which are reflected in every sip.
