The G. Rozelieures Tourbé (Peated) Collection Single Malt Whisky 46% Vol. 0.7 l is a distinctive single malt from Lorraine (France), produced by the family-run distillery Grallet-Dupic. The special thing about this bottling: "Tourbé" is the French word for "peated" and refers to the intensely smoky character of this whisky.

The distillery is known for carrying out the entire production process itself - from barley cultivation and malting to distillation and maturation. Heavily peated malt is used for the Tourbé Collection, which gives the whisky its characteristic smokiness. Maturation takes place in a combination of bourbon barrels and sherry casks, which adds sweet, fruity and spicy flavours alongside the dominant peat note.

At 46 % vol., without chill-filtration and without colouring, the whisky presents itself in its pure, unadulterated form. The gift box makes it an attractive choice for lovers of peaty single malts who also appreciate French whisky craftsmanship.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden yellow with light amber reflections.

Nose: Intense peat smoke, complemented by notes of vanilla, dried fruit and spices.

Flavour: Full-bodied and strong with dominant smoke, malty sweetness, oak and subtle sherry tones.

Finish: Langs, smoky and spicy with a hint of dark chocolate.

The G. Rozelieures Tourbé (Peated) Collection unfolds its full spectrum of flavours on its own or with a few drops of water. It is an excellent accompaniment to strong cheeses such as Roquefort, grilled or smoked meat and dark chocolate with a high cocoa content. It can also skilfully add its complex smoky and malty notes to a Smoky Old Fashioned or a Penicillin cocktail.
