Botran Ron Añejo 12 Solera 40% ABV 0.7 l is a premium rum from Guatemala steeped in tradition, and one of the best-known bottlings from the Botran distillery. The Botran family has been producing high-quality rum specialities for generations and is renowned for its unique production method. Unlike many other rums, Botran 12 Solera is made from Virgin Cane Honey – a concentrated sugar cane syrup from which the water is removed prior to distillation. This preserves a particularly high level of natural aromas, which give the rum its characteristic depth. Maturation takes place at an altitude of around 2,300 metres in the mountains of Guatemala, where the cool climate allows for slow and controlled barrel ageing.


Botran 12 is aged for at least 12 years using the traditional Solera method in selected American white oak casks. This special ageing process creates a harmonious blend of fruitiness, spice and subtle woody notes. Compared to many modern Solera rums, Botran Ron Añejo 12 is pleasantly balanced and less sweet, allowing the rum’s natural characteristics to come to the fore. The elegant 0.7 l bottle makes this Guatemalan rum an excellent choice for both newcomers and experienced rum lovers alike.

Colour: Dark gold to amber.

Nose: Dried fruit, figs, vanilla, toasted nuts, caramel and subtle oak spice.

Palate: Harmonious and balanced with notes of dried figs, almonds, walnuts, vanilla, caramel and spicy oak.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and elegant with subtle woody notes and a hint of sweetness.
