MICHAEL Cabernet Sauvignon Burgenland is a powerful, deep red wine that is given its unique characteristics by the Mediterranean-Pannonian climate of central Burgenland and the careful vinification at the Weingut Michael. The region's warm summers and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen perfectly and ensure an impressive balance between fruit, flavour and structure. This premium red wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is an elegant, complex representative of its grape variety that impresses with its depth, finesse and exceptional ageing potential.

After careful harvesting, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak, which gives it a fine tannin structure and subtle roasted flavours. The wood maturation gives it additional complexity and ensures a harmonious combination of fruit and flavour. The wine is sealed with a natural cork to optimise its development in the bottle. It is suitable for drinking for at least 5 years, so it can be enjoyed young or aged for several years.

Its structure and depth make it the perfect wine for special occasions or enjoyable evenings, where it can also develop wonderfully on its own. Thanks to its excellent ageing potential, it gains even more sophistication and complexity over the years.

Tasting Note

Dense, deep dark ruby red with violet reflections in the glass. The bouquet is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, dark forest berries and ripe cherries, accompanied by fine notes of dark chocolate, tobacco and vanilla. On the palate, it has a full, velvety structure with perfectly integrated tannins and an elegant spiciness. The finish is long, harmonious and complex, with a hint of fine wood and dark berries.

Residual sugar: 1.4 g/l

This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent accompaniment to grilled or braised beef, lamb or game dishes. It also harmonises well with mature cheeses and savoury stews.
