The Hans Igler Vulcano Cuvée Burgenland 2021 is a powerful yet elegant red wine composition that combines the best of Central Burgenland. The traditional Weingut Hans-Igler, located in Deutschkreutz in the heart of Blaufränkischland, has stood for quality wines with depth, character and international stature for decades. Terroir-influenced red wines are pressed there with great care, impressively reflecting the Pannonian climate and mineral-rich soils.

This cuvée combines four high-quality grape varieties: Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zweigelt. The combination gives the wine structure, complexity and elegance. The Vulcano 2021 is characterised by a harmonious interplay of fruit, spice and ripe tannin structure. Thanks to its well-integrated alcohol content of 13.5% vol. and balanced body, it is easy to drink in its youth, but also has ageing potential. A true classic from Burgenland that combines Austrian red wine expertise with international standards.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Hans Igler Vulcano is a dark ruby-garnet colour with violet reflections and a delicate brightening towards the rim - an expression of its youth and concentration. The nose reveals a multi-layered bouquet with fine blackberries, a hint of nougat, candied orange zest, cocoa nuances and delicate cassis notes. On the palate, the wine is juicy and taut, with well-integrated tannins and a finely spiced texture. The finish is characterised by red cherry fruit, a fresh bouquet and a long, elegant finish. The wine impresses with its depth, balance and aromatic complexity.

The Hans Igler Vulcano is the ideal accompaniment to grilled beef, braised game dishes, herb-crusted lamb chops or dark poultry with roasted flavours.
