The name "Scarabus" comes from the Old Norse and means "a rocky place", which is perfectly suited to the wild coastal landscape of Islay. At 46% vol., non-chill-filtered and natural, this bottling stays close to its origins and offers an authentic flavour experience.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber with a reddish tinge.

Nose: Intensely smoky, accompanied by dried figs, sweet peat smoke, sultanas, leather and a hint of cinnamon.

Flavour: Full-bodied and structured with sherry sweetness, dark chocolate, spicy wood, smoky malt and dried dates.

Finish: Long-lasting, smoky and warm, with notes of coffee, roasted almonds and spicy oak.
