The Stefanshof Blauer Zweigelt 2023 is a classic, fruit-driven red wine that impressively reflects the combination of tradition and modern winemaking. The Stefanshof, widely known for breeding the noble Lippizaner horses, has also made an excellent name for itself in Austrian viticulture since 1890. On 84 hectares of vineyards, under the management of Stefan Haller, who has run the farm since 1998, authentic wines full of character are produced today, combining regional typicity and the highest quality.

The Blauer Zweigelt is one of the winery's flagship wines and is vinified from 100% fully ripe Blauer Zweigelt grapes. Careful ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks in order to perfectly preserve the primary fruit, freshness and typical juiciness of this Austrian flagship grape variety. The wine is then carefully bottled and sealed with a practical screw cap to preserve its freshness in the long term. With a pleasantly moderate alcohol content of 12.5 % vol., this Zweigelt is an accessible, drinkable companion for many occasions.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Stefanshof Blauer Zweigelt is a pale straw yellow with light green reflections. A fine, fruity bouquet of green apples unfolds on the nose, fresh and inviting. On the palate, the wine is lively and juicy, carried by a fresh, animating acidity that gives it lightness and drinking pleasure. Overall, it is very drinkable and uncomplicated, perfect for relaxed enjoyment.

This Zweigelt is ideal as a versatile accompaniment to light Austrian cuisine, grilled poultry, pasta with light-coloured sauces or summer salads. It also goes wonderfully with a traditional Heurigen snack with spreads and mild cheese. Served slightly chilled, it is an ideal wine for spring and summer - perfect for patio evenings or uncomplicated get-togethers.
