The Tenuta Tignanello Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2022 is a noble, richly structured and profound red wine from Tuscany that captures the essence of the famous Chianti Classico region at the highest level. It comes from the heart of the historic Chianti Classico region and is vinified exclusively at the prestigious Tenuta Tignanello, one of Marchesi Antinori's most famous vineyards.

The cuvée is mainly based on Sangiovese, supplemented by a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives the wine additional depth and elegance. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand. After a temperature-controlled mash fermentation, the wine is aged for around 14 months in French and Hungarian barriques, some of which are new wood. The subsequent bottle ageing rounds off the wine perfectly. With a strong alcohol content of 14% vol., a natural cork stopper and a storage potential of over 10 years, this Riserva shows its class as a top Chianti with great ageing potential.

Tasting Note

The wine presents itself in the glass in a deep ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Intense aromas of ripe cherry, plum and dried herbs unfold on the nose, complemented by tobacco, vanilla, cloves and fine roasted notes. The palate is full-bodied, structured yet silky, with ripe tannins, balanced freshness and a long, elegant finish with spicy and mineral notes that are typical of the Sangiovese grape.

The Marchese Antinori Riserva 2022 is the ideal wine for braised beef, game dishes, lamb with herbs, grilled meat, but also with mature pecorino, porcini risotto or a classic Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Perfect for festive dinners, special occasions or as a gift for discerning wine connoisseurs. Serve at 16-18 °C in a large red wine glass to allow the full flavour to unfold.
