Description
The Prima Nature Grenache Rosé 2024 from Gérard Bertrand is a characterful, certified organic rosé wine from the south of France that focuses entirely on nature, purity and expressiveness. It is produced in the Languedoc-Roussillon region - a landscape with plenty of sunshine, a Mediterranean climate and chalky soils that provide ideal conditions for Grenache, which comes into its own here as a single variety and in its purest form.
What is special about this Linie is that it is vinified completely without the addition of sulphur or oenological aids, a first in the conventional wine world. The winemaking process is extremely precise and meticulous in order to fully preserve the aromatic potential of the Grenache grape variety. The result is a wine that stands for genuine naturalness - vegan, certified organic and free from added sulphur, yet stable and easy to drink. With 13% alcohol by volume, the wine is dry and at the same time fruity and accessible.
Tasting Note
The 2024 vintage has a delicate, pale pink colour with brilliant clarity in the glass. The nose reveals fine aromas of raspberries, fresh strawberries and a hint of floral nuances reminiscent of wildflowers. Soft, round and harmonious on the palate, with a fine interplay of fruit and a light, animating freshness that makes the wine particularly accessible. The finish is fragrant, fresh and elegant - a very successful expression of the Grenache grape variety.
This fresh, fruity rosé is an excellent accompaniment to light starters, fresh salads, Asian-inspired dishes or exotic cuisine with fruit components. It is also a stylish companion as an aperitif on warm days or for a Mediterranean brunch. The recommended serving temperature is 10 °C to emphasise its full range of flavours.
