The rye for this whiskey comes 100% from Virginia and characterises the spicy, distinctive character of the bottling.

With an alcohol content of 50% by volume, this rye whiskey has powerful flavours without losing any of its balance. The maturation in fresh, burnt American oak barrels ensures an intense interplay of rye spice, vanilla, roasted nuts and dark caramel. Batch 1 from the 2024 vintage produces an American rye with a strong character and depth that is just as impressive on its own as it is in a classic whiskey cocktail.

Nose: Spicy and strong with rye bread, cinnamon, oak, tobacco and a slight sweetness.

Flavour: Expressive with rye spice, black pepper, roasted grain, caramel and vanilla.

Finish: Langs, dry and spicy with woody nuances and a hint of leather.

This rye is ideal on its own at room temperature or with a few drops of water to open up the flavours. Also perfect for classic cocktails such as Manhattan, Sazerac or Whiskey Sour.
