Rochelt Wachauer Marille 2018 50% vol. 0.35 l is an exclusive apricot brandy from the traditional Rochelt distillery in Tyrol, known for its uncompromising quality philosophy and decades of experience in the production of the finest distillates. Only fully ripe, aromatic apricots from the Wachau - a region in Lower Austria that is known worldwide for its particularly fruity apricots - are used for this brandy.

The apricots are harvested by hand and only healthy and fully ripe fruit is processed. After gentle, natural fermentation without the addition of sugar or flavourings, the mash is distilled twice in small copper stills. The brandy then matures for several years in open-pored glass balloons, allowing it to develop its exceptional mildness and depth. The 2018 harvest was characterised by ideal ripening conditions, which is reflected in a particularly intense fruit flavour.

Bottled at a strong 50 % vol., this brandy is powerful, yet harmonious and elegant. It is supplied in an elegant wooden box, which emphasises the artisanal character and collector's value of this bottling.

Nose: Intensely fruity with pure, fresh apricot notes, accompanied by floral hints.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth with clear, natural apricot fruit, a fine sweetness and a slight hint of almond pits.

It harmonises perfectly with fine desserts such as apricot dumplings, fruit tart or panna cotta with apricot sauce.
