The Rochelt Wachauer Marille 2018 50% vol. 0.7 l in a wooden crate is a fine fruit distillate speciality from Tyrol that embodies the best of Austrian distilling. The Rochelt family business has been known for decades for its handcrafted brandies of the highest quality. Strictly selected fruit, traditional mash fermentation and a particularly gentle double distillation method result in distillates that set standards worldwide.


Only fully ripe, sun-kissed Wachau apricots from Lower Austria are used for this limited bottling. The Wachau is one of the best-known and most renowned apricot regions in Europe, famous for its unique climate and mineral-rich soils, which give the fruit a particularly intense flavour. After careful hand-picking, the fruit is mashed and gently fermented for several weeks before being distilled twice using the traditional distillation process.


The distillate is then stored for several years in open glass balloons in the attic of the distillery. There it matures under natural temperature fluctuations, gaining elegance and developing its incomparable depth of flavour. With an alcohol content of 50% by volume, Rochelt Wachauer Marille 2018 is powerful, intense and yet harmonious. It is bottled in the characteristic Rochelt bottle and presented in an elegant wooden crate - an exclusive collector's item and an ideal gift.
