Maturation takes place exclusively in carefully selected first-fill bourbon casks, complementing the powerful peated character with delicate sweet and fruity nuances. Despite its extremely high phenol content, the Octomore 16.1 is remarkably balanced and complex. Maritime notes, fruity sweetness, spices and subtle minerality blend to create an exceptional overall profile. Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold.

Nose: Sea breeze, orchard fruits, delicate peat smoke, dried heather, chamomile, vanilla, toasted almonds, cedarwood, smoked paprika and hints of iodine.

Palate: Powerful yet elegant with peat smoke, salted caramel, honeydew melon, apricots, malty sweetness, cinnamon, star anise, toffee, chocolate, coconut and mineral nuances.

Finish: Very long-lasting with intense peat smoke, black pepper, toffee, sea salt and maritime spice.
