The Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Vin Blanc 2023 13% ABV 0.75 l is a characterful white wine from the Languedoc and a tribute to the Mediterranean culture, landscape and winemaking tradition of southern France. Produced by the renowned Gérard Bertrand winery, this wine is based on the traditional Clairette grape variety, a historic variety native to the Mediterranean region. The wine embodies the fusion of millennia-old viticultural heritage and modern winemaking techniques, and reflects the philosophy of the Art de Vivre Linie, which captures the Mediterranean lifestyle and the region’s cultural heritage.


The grapes are selectively harvested between early and late September, with picking taking place in the early morning hours between 5 and 8 am to optimally preserve the grapes’ freshness. They are then pressed immediately, with only the first press juices being used. Pressing takes place under an inert gas to protect the aromatic purity. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature of 13–15°C and is deliberately halted by cooling, resulting in a slightly sweet white wine with around 12 g of residual sugar. Another distinctive feature is the unusual bottle made from natural clay, which is reminiscent of ancient amphorae and symbolises the historical origins of viticulture in the Mediterranean region.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Art de Vivre Languedoc Blanc 2023 displays an elegant straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, fresh aromas of pear, peach and plum unfold, accompanied by delicate Mediterranean fruit notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh, elegant and harmonious, with lively fruit and a well-balanced structure. The finish is pleasantly smooth and long-lasting.

This Clairette white wine from the Languedoc pairs superbly with Mediterranean starters, seafood, fish dishes, grilled vegetables or white meat dishes. The Art de Vivre Blanc also pairs very well with summer dishes, salads, tapas or light desserts, and is ideal as an aperitif or to accompany Mediterranean menus.
