This high-quality XO rum combines traditional Caribbean rum artistry with French barrel ageing and exemplifies the characteristic signature of Planteray Rum. The combination of tropical maturation in Barbados and additional refinement in France gives this Barbados XO rum its exceptional complexity and smooth structure.


The blend consists of various Barbados rums aged for at least 13 years, which are initially stored in former bourbon barrels in the Caribbean. The rum is then blended at Cognac Ferrand in France before undergoing a second maturation phase in small old Cognac barrels made from French oak. This elaborate process ensures impressive smoothness, elegant wood flavour and exceptional aromatic depth. With an alcohol content of 40%, Planteray Barbados XO 20th Anniversary is harmonious, creamy and extremely full-bodied.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany with golden amber reflections.

Nose: Intense aroma of creamy caramel toffee, fine roasted flavours and fruity notes of ripe banana and candied orange.

Flavour: Particularly smooth and balanced with exotic sugar cane sweetness, toasted coconut, cocoa, vanilla, toast and fruity accents of ripe tropical fruit.

Finish: Langs, creamy and elegant with harmonious sweetness and fine oak spice.
