Produced in the renowned Glenlivet region, this whisky is distilled using traditional methods but, unlike typical Speyside bottlings, uses heavily peated malt, creating a distinctive smoky style. This peated single malt combines the elegant fruitiness of Speyside with strong peat smoke, creating an exciting interplay between origin and style. Bottled at a powerful 50%, naturally non-chill-filtered, this single malt Scotch whisky retains its natural oils, full texture and intense flavour density. Old Ballantruan THE PEATED MALT is an excellent accompaniment to smoked salmon, oysters or grilled scallops, as its smoky notes ideally complement the salty flavours. This Peated Speyside Single Malt also harmonises well with grilled meat such as lamb, beef steak or game dishes, where its spicy smokiness comes into its own. This smoky whisky also unfolds its full depth with strong cheeses such as cheddar or blue cheese as well as dark chocolate or chocolate desserts. We particularly recommend drinking it neat or with a few drops of water to experience the complex flavours to the full.
