A hallmark of Planteray is the combination of pot still and column still distillation. The rums are not only aged in their region of origin, but also undergo a second cask finish in France, often in exceptional wine casks such as Saint-Estèphe or Umeshu. This method elevates the flavour profile to a whole new level.

Planteray places great emphasis on sustainability, collaboration with local distilleries and transparency in the production process. Many of their releases are one-off editions, prioritising quality over quantity.

Planteray rums are sourced from renowned growing regions such as Barbados, Belize and Fiji. Thanks to their double maturation—first in ex-bourbon casks locally and then in cognac casks in France—they produce complex spirits with an international character.
