LAPHROAIG ist der weltweit führende Single Malt von der Schottland vorgelagerten Insel Islay- die Scotch Whisky Region aus der die von Kennern so geschätzten wuchtigen und torfigen Malts kommen.
Für seine Herstellung wird gemälzte Gerste über einem Torffeuer getrocknet. Dabei verleiht der Rauch dieses speziellen handgestochenen Torfes, den es nur auf Islay gibt, LAPHROAIG sein einzigartiges und vielfältiges Aroma.

Bei dem Laphroaig® 10 Sherry Oak harmonieren unvergessliche Aromen unseres klassischen 10 Year Old Whiskys mit der Süße und Vielschichtigkeit des Oloroso Sherrys. Zum Abschluss wird er in europäischen Sherry-Eichenfässern gelagert, sodass ein besonderer, unvergesslicher Single Malt entsteht. Bei diesem einzigartigen Whisky beginnt man mit dem gleichen altehrwürdigen Verfahren, das auch für unseren herkömmlichen 10 Year Old Laphroaig® verwendet wird. Nachdem das Destillat in ex-Bourbon-Fässern seinen vollen Charakter erhalten hat, ruht es in Fässern, die zuvor mit süßem Oloroso-Sherry gefüllt waren. Jedes Fass wird von Hand ausgewählt, um unserem typischen Single Malt zusätzliche Vielschichtigkeit zu verleihen. Dadurch werden Noten von Manuka-Honig und gegrilltem Speck mit unseren berühmten Aromen von Torfrauch und Seetang kombiniert.
