The name Chivas Regal is derived from Schivas Castle on the River Ythan in the Scottish province of Aberdeenshire.
Chivas Regal Scotch 12 Years Old is a blend of many different malt and grain Scotch whiskies.
A maturation of at least 12 years is required to bottle this blend with style, substance and tradition.

Ganz verstehe ich den Kult um diesen Blend nicht. Manche meiner Freunde halten ihn für ganz hervorragend. Ich teile ihre Meinung nicht. Ich finde ihn ok, aber keineswegs besonders gut. Zu seinem Preis gibts auch schon Single Malts. Sicher nicht die größten, dennoch bevorzuge ich diese.
