The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old is part of the Sherry Oak range, which includes a collection of single malt whiskies aged exclusively in hand-picked sherry oak casks from Jerez, which provides a special richness and complexity.
During the exclusive storage in Oloroso sherry oak barrels, from Jerez in Spain, this rich, fruity and full-bodied fine spirit ("New Make Spirit") is transformed into a single malt with cult status.
After bottling, the maturing distillate remains in the same barrels for 18 years. During this time this rich and complex single malt develops, which is characterized by ripe oak, ginger and raisin tones.
