Ararat brandy, named after the biblical mountain Ararat, represents the exquisite quality and centuries-old tradition of Armenian distilling. The history of Ararat brandy began in 1887 with the founding of the first brandy factory in Yerevan by Nerses Tairyan. This distillery, now known as the "Yerevan Brandy Company", set new standards in the production of high-quality spirits and became the centre of Armenian brandy production. The resulting wine is distilled in copper pot stills to produce a clear and aromatic brandy.

Aged for five years in handcrafted Caucasian oak barrels, Ararat 5-star brandy is the brand's most popular and widely available variety. This variant impresses with its harmonious balance of fruity and woody flavours, making it extremely popular with connoisseurs and occasional connoisseurs alike.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Fresh, light notes of ripe plums and peaches, oak, hints of vanilla, cinnamon.

Flavour: Light, full-bodied, sweet of ripe plums, pears and redcurrants, caramel, slightly bitter oak.
