With Barbancourt Rum you can enjoy a top-class rum. It is world-famous and highly regarded by connoisseurs. This rum is produced in the island state of Haiti. Haiti Rhum is one of the least represented rums in the Caribbean. This is due to the fact that Haiti is one of the smallest rum producers in these waters. However, very special rums come from this island.
The Barbancourt distillery was founded in 1862 and has relied on the double distillation process ever since. Barbancourt Rhum has an unmistakable character. Unlike many other distilleries in the Caribbean, Barbancourt does not take the detour via molasses. Instead, the high-quality rum is produced directly from the juice of the sugar cane. This makes it a so-called “Rhum Agricole”. It results in a sweet, exotic taste that is second to none. The production process is almost entirely manual. This requires a great deal of experience and expertise. It is not for nothing that this rum is so popular with connoisseurs.
You will find various bottlings from this distillery in our range. The “Barbancourt 4 Years Old 3 Star” is particularly recommended for beginners or for mixing. For advanced connoisseurs, on the other hand, we recommend the “8 Years Old Réserve Spéciale” or the “15 Years Old Réserve Rhum”. The latter have significantly more depth and spicier aromas due to their longer maturation period.
